Welcome to My Digital Paradise. My one and only goal is to help the "Computer Challenged" among us make easy and good use of our computers without having to resort to a technician like myself for every little thing.
We will cover Good Computer Habits, Available Free Software (A.K.A. Freeware) to cover most everyday uses of a home computer, and I will attempt to advise you on "HOW" to make good computer decisions when buying computers & software. The total of this effort is to help members avoid most of the easy to avoid issues that plague people owning computers rather than having to hire someone to sort your system out on a regular basis. I have found that my clients have ever only needed a nudge in the right direction. The information is available, but hard to sort when you don’t know the specific questions that are required. This site will give you “my” preferred combination to safe and easy computing. As an example my systems have gone seven plus years without any malware getting hold of my home systems. I will not promote any one brand of software or computer supplier. I do have a few recommendations for reliable sites but the situation is different for each person and there is no one size fits all.
All of this covers a large amount of information but I will do my best to cover it in plain English. Printable guides will shortly be available to take you step by step through activities like picking a computer or setting one up from scratch. Again let me express that at no time should any of this be difficult, there are tools to make each need easy to address.
There is nothing more useful in this day and age than a computer to keep in touch, to inquire, to store memories, or simply to entertain. The issue is that many people just don’t know where to find simple solutions to everyday computer issues. I’d like to do something about that.
